Unemployment tops 20 million in the United States! Unemployment tops 20 million as another 5 million people have either been laid off or furloughed due to the Coronavirus.
Data released by the Federal Reserve shows that manufacturing output fell 6.3% in March and industrial output fell 5.4%. These numbers mark the biggest drop since 1946 and 2008.
Goldman Sachs predicts that around 37 million unemployment claims could be made between March and the end of May.
