Square Crypto Plans to Boost Bitcoin Adoption! Square Crypto plans to do this by developing a Lightning Development Kit (LDK).
Jack Dorsey says that the product is designed to give developers an easy way to integrate the scaling solution Lightning with existing and new Bitcoin Wallets.
Lightning is a two layer solution and works on top of the Bitcoin network to make payments faster and cheaper. Square Crypto’s products will have the following – API, demo apps, language bindings, and other functionalities.
Square Crypto says that it talked to a number of developers before deciding to create the LDK.
Square Crypto has, however, confirmed that they believe that the technology of Lightning is incomplete in its current iteration. Lightning itself was launched back in early 2018 and has seen limited use. Bitcoin users tend to opt to send and receive BTC without Lightning.
