Mass protests have erupted throughout the USA, with major cities experiencing protests in all forms. This started when a black man was murdered by a police officer in Minneapolis and the officer was only charged with third-degree murder – days later.
The White House was also under lockdown due to protests. From Los Angeles to the east coast, tv footage showing protests are burning into the kinds of viewers.
The Pentagon took the rare step of ordering the US Army military police to ready themselves to deploy to Minneapolis. This is in response to an increase of protests and riots all week long.
Soldiers at Fort Bragg in North Carolina and Fort Drum in New York have been ordered to be ready to deploy within four hours if necessary. Soldiers at Fort Carson and Fort Riley have been told to be ready within 24 hours.
