Crypto Traders Pro is proud to present its latest exclusive interview with Steve Shadders, a Lead Developer of nChain and working with Bitcoin (SV). In this episode of the Crypto Traders Pro Podcast Bitcoin SV, we talk with Shadders and what he thinks about the SV universe. You can watch the podcast here.
We talked about Steve for a little bit – he told us that he had gotten into the space in 2011. He met Dr. Craig Wright in 2017 and started working with nChain then. We talked briefly about CW and how it’s like to work with him. Something interesting that you might miss while listening to the interview – Craig likes to write notes while listening to someone – but don’t mistake that to mean that he isn’t listening!
One of the topics we talked about with Shadders was the main difference between SV and ABC. We asked if the differences were technical and or philosophical. Shadder and Kurt came upon the belief that it’s honestly a little bit of both. With SV and ABC, the main difference is what is hoped to be achieved between the two projects.
Another topic that was talked about was the genesis of the SV chain. Hash is a contentious issue with Proof-of-Work tokens like Bitcoin, SV, and ABC. One issue with the start of SV was the fact that it took nearly 40 minutes for the block to propagate. Shadders was asked if this was good or bad, and if this was preferable or not. Clearly, the answer was no. A large orphaned block was not preferable.
Another big draw for SV is that SV will prioritize scaling and security – something that is oftentimes ignored by other Bitcoin variants. Shadders believes that the Bitcoin world has fallen behind other tokens and other industries in terms of software development. Shadders firmly believes that more memory can unlock the potential of BSV to meet any task.
We talk about a whole bunch of other topics. It’s a little technical, but take a watch. We’ve embedded the video, but click here if you want to be taken to the video itself. We covered a wide range of topics – including redundancy chains, mining BSV, and use case for BSV, among many others!
Let us know what you think. We’re fans of Bitcoin (SV), we believe that it best matches the vision set forth by Satoshi Nakamoto. What do you think? Do you think SV is the truest iteration of Bitcoin? Let us know on our Facebook page!
