Bitcoin google searches have spiked! Without warning, Bitcoin google searches have jumped to their highest level ever.
A straight vertical line indicates that BTC searches are double the level that they were during the 2017 bull market.
The regions listed are a bit of a mislead, however, since most of the countries have a “normal” trend – however, looking closer, the US is seeing a spike as well that’s outside the mean.
English speaking countries are seeing that same spike – but other non English speaking countries are seeing a higher than normal BTC google search – just take a look at Turkey.
Turkey has seen a spike in BTC google hits – apparently, BTCTurk, a Turkish Crypto exchange, has taken ads out in Istanbul’s Sükrü Saraçoglu Stadium.
The ad mentions Bitcoin, but there isn’t any deviance in regular Bitcoin activity in terms of price action. So this could be a game or something unrelated to Bitcoin, but even Google doesn’t show anything non-Bitcoin related when searching for BTC.
This could be the work of bots trying to increase BTCTurk’s ad, but one would assume that Google, with its advanced data analytics, would be able to filter out bots.
This is due to the number of things that are happening throughout the world. BTC searches are above Bitcoin, and Bitcoin searches are even above Brexit, which is scheduled for a hard exit in October.
This leaves the mystery that we have today. Why is there a spike in searches for Bitcoin?
