Australians can now pay for Bitcoin at national post offices! Bitcoin.com.au customers can pay for Bitcoin at more than 3,500 Australian Post offices! Australian Post Offices worked hand in hand with Bitcoin.com.au to make this available according to a June 24th announcement.
Holger Arians, the firm’s CEO, explained that the new payment option will make some people more comfortable buying crypto, saying:
“For many people, paying for Bitcoin at an Australia Post office feels safer than transferring funds online – particularly for first-time buyers. We’re proud of this partnership and would like to thank Austrlia Post for their continued openness to new technologies.”
Bitcoin.com.au customers were already able to pay for Bitcoin at 1500 retail outlets using the Blueshyft payment network.
Physical locations for consumer consumption of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies is on the rise. Bitcoin Automated Teller machines recently crossed the 8,000 units worldwide milestone. In the United States, this means that many can purchase cryptocurrencies at a select number of 7-Eleven, CVS, and Rite Aid locations.
