500 Million bitcoin transactions achieved! 500 million Bitcoin transactions have happened – rising from 250 million back in 2017. We should all be celebrating – Bitcoin only went live on January 3rd, 2009.
According to the data site Satoshi, the exact number of transactions was at 500.0165 million transactions when the network first breached half a billion transactions.
Satoshi started tracking the number of transactions from late 2017. In 2017, it crossed 250 million transactions. At this rate, Bitcoin could cross over 1,000 million in under two years!
Twitter user Hodlonaut, famous for his legal troubles with Craig Wright, tweeted that Bitcoin just keeps going.
“Bitcoin isn’t talking about this. Or about how revolutionary and unprecedented its traits of censorship resistance and immutability are. Bitcoin just is. And Does. One block at a time.”
