Tulip Trust produces 3 documents in the ongoing Kleiman vs Wright lawsuit! The Tulip Trust is the legal and technical trust structures regarding the large amount of Bitcoin mined by Dr. Craig Wright. We may find out more as Kleiman teases new information about the trust.
Kleiman’s attorneys have reportedly received a new document from Wright’s legal team on January 6th concerning the Tulip Trust. They are motioning to seal the documents for 10 days to allow Wright to redact any sensitive portions.

Kleiman’s legal team, according to the motion, has not seen the documents prior to January 6th, and received no explanation as to why they are only getting them now. Speculation around the Tulip Trust has already been high – this only adds fuel to the fire.
The Tulip Trust is believed to be a time sealed Bitcoin depositary filled with Bitcoin mined by Dr. Wright in the early days of Bitcoin. The private keys to unlock the trusts were to be locked away and only provided to Wright in January of 2020.
If Wright has successfully gotten the ability to access those private keys, or has information regarding them, this could have major ramifications for the world of Bitcoin. It’s believed that there are more than 1 million Bitcoin held by the Tulip Trust.
Ira Kleiman’s lawsuit has also resulted in Judge Bruce Reinhart ruling that the Kleiman family should receive half of whatever is found in the trust. Dr. Wright is expected to hold trust meetings and working on this issue all month long.
