Crypto Lunch postponed! Justin Sun’s Crypto Lunch with Warren Buffet has been postponed. The lunch cost $4.57 million dollars, and Justin announces the cancellation via Twitter.
Tron Foundation’s CEO, Justin Sun won the auction to have lunch with Warren Buffett after the billionaire chairman of Berkshire Hathaway called Bitcoin “probably rat poison squared”. They were due to have lunch on Wednesday.
Justin Sun hopes that the lunch would help “bridge the gap between institutional and traditional investors and the realm of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology.”
“TRON Foundation announces postponement of Warren Buffett lunch, press conferences after founder Justin Sun falls ill with kidney stones,” tweeted the foundation late last night.
Both parties have agreed to reschedule at a later date. Tronix, the foundation’s token, dropped nearly 13% following the news.
Buffett is highly skeptical of cryptocurrencies. At Berkshire’s annual meeting last month, he compared betting on Bitcoin to betting on zero or double-zero on a Las Vegas roulette wheel.
Justin Sun had previously invited Helen Hai and Yoni Assia. I bet they’re going to have to reschedule too.
